Mostly True is the companion book to Bill Daniel's film Who is Bozo Texino; a documentation of freight hopping, railroad graffiti and hobo culture. We spent months collaborating with Bill, editing the incredible amount of material he had collected in milk crates, boxes and envelopes over the twenty-five years spent making the film. The book itself takes the form of a 1930s railfan magazine with no clear line drawn between what is real or fake, new or old.
Designed with Rich McIsaac, with typography by Sam Friedman. The drawing on the cover is by Barry McGee. Published by Microcosm.
